I started the 360 Performance Academy in November 2023 to separate it from my Life Mindset work. This was due to the amount of sports coaching I was doing, the success of my clients and the diversity of the sports I was coaching.
I have been a Mindset Coach for about 6 years, mainly dealing with trauma and stress and a Sports Mindset coach for 4 years. When I finished after 30 years in Police Scotland, I worked with PGA Pro Bobby Rushford at Fairways in Coatbridge, then at Eurocentral, and now mainly from my home office, although I am actively looking for a golf range to coach lessons from.
I started working with professional darts player, Davie Kirwan before I retired and soon after with professional golfer Jane Turner. There was an amazing amount of information and experience on both sides and I grew fast, especially with Jane winning the South African Masters in a play off shortly after we started working together.
I started studying with Karl Morris at The Mind Factor Institute, and still do, and from then I have never looked back. The variation in the type of sports I have helped grew, as did the differences in the levels of ability, and what became evident was that no matter what level you are at, I can help you improve.
I have played most sports and have a good knowledge of all sports. Nowadays it’s mainly golf that I play, with single figure handicap, however the last sport before that was Triathlon until injury curtailed competing.
My therapy training is in Life Coaching, NLP, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, adding into that my Mind Factor training and continuous learning from various additional people – giving me a well rounded knowledge and practical application – I believe (as do all members of my team) that I will make a positive impact on any sportsperson or team’s performance.
Having worked in the police in the East End of Glasgow and later as an operational supervisor in Lanarkshire, I know a lot about operating under stress and with high tariff decision making.
I am a member of Colville Park Golf Club in Motherwell and a country member at Nairn Golf Club.
Please don’t be shy to ask me any questions… You never know how much I can help until you ask.
